  • Your name
  • Your email address
  • Your phone number
  • Your postcode
  • The message you send us, including any details about your project
  • How you heard about us (if provided)

Information collected automatically

When you visit the website, we and our third-party analytics providers automatically collect certain technical information, including:

  • Your IP address (anonymised)
  • Browser type and version
  • Device type (mobile, tablet, desktop)
  • Pages visited and time spent on each page
  • How you arrived at the site (search engine, direct link etc.)
  • General geographic location (country/region level)
  • Clicks, scrolling behaviour and interaction patterns

This information is collected via cookies and similar technologies — see the Tracking & Analytics section for full details.

How we use your information

Enquiry and contact data

We use the information you submit through the contact form to:

  • Respond to your enquiry about our services
  • Arrange a free survey at your property if requested
  • Provide you with a quote for work
  • Communicate with you about your project if you proceed

The legal basis for this processing is legitimate interests — you've contacted us to ask about a service, and processing your data is necessary to respond to that request.

Analytics data

We use anonymised analytics data to understand how visitors use the website — which pages are most visited, where visitors come from, and how they navigate the site. This helps us improve the website and our marketing. The legal basis for this processing is consent — we only collect analytics data where you have accepted cookies via our cookie banner.

Tracking & analytics

Our website uses the following tracking technologies. These are only active if you accept cookies via our cookie consent banner.

ServiceProviderPurposeData sent

Google Analytics 4

We use Google Analytics 4 (GA4) to understand how our website is used. GA4 uses cookies to collect anonymised data about visitor behaviour. IP anonymisation is enabled — your full IP address is never stored. Data is processed by Google LLC, which may involve transfer to the United States. Google is certified under the EU-US Data Privacy Framework.

You can opt out of Google Analytics across all websites by installing the Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on.

Google Ads conversion tracking

If you arrive at our website via a Google Ads advertisement, we use Google's conversion tracking to measure whether that visit resulted in an enquiry. This helps us understand which ads are effective. The data collected is anonymised and aggregated — it does not identify you personally.

Microsoft Clarity

We use Microsoft Clarity to record how visitors interact with our website through heatmaps and session recordings. This helps us identify usability issues and improve the site. Clarity automatically masks any text you enter into forms — your personal details are never captured in recordings. Data is processed by Microsoft Corporation, which may involve transfer outside the UK. Microsoft complies with applicable data protection frameworks.

You can learn more about Clarity's privacy practices at privacy.microsoft.com.

Managing cookies

When you first visit the website you will be shown a cookie consent banner. You can choose to accept or decline analytics and marketing cookies. You can change your preferences at any time by clicking the "Cookie Settings" link in the footer.

You can also control cookies through your browser settings. Note that disabling all cookies may affect the functionality of some websites. For more information, visit aboutcookies.org.

Form submission

Enquiries submitted through our contact form are processed and delivered to us via a third-party form service. Your submission data is transmitted securely and is only used to deliver your message to Cole's Decor. It is not used for marketing or shared with any other third party.

Website hosting

Our website is hosted on Cloudflare Pages (Cloudflare, Inc., US). Cloudflare processes technical request data — such as IP addresses — as part of its content delivery and security services. You can view Cloudflare's privacy policy at cloudflare.com/privacypolicy.

We do not sell your data

We do not sell, rent or trade your personal information to any third party. We do not use your data for advertising purposes beyond the conversion tracking described above.

  • Right to data portability — you can ask for your data in a portable, machine-readable format
  • Right to withdraw consent — where processing is based on consent, you can withdraw it at any time

To exercise any of these rights, contact Martin at hello@colesdecor.co.uk. We will respond within one month.
